Steven Parker's formal training began in the Jewelry Design program at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City, leading to an apprenticeship at Oscar Heyman--one of the city’s most prestigious jewelry manufacturers--where he later went back to manage their production facility for a number of years. His study of watch- and clock-making led him to a quite enjoyable detour into the world of toy design and manufacture, where he invented, prototyped, and manufactured various types of electro-mechanical toys and collectibles over the course of a decade. Believing strongly in giving back, Steven currently teaches as an adjunct professor in the Jewelry Design Department at FIT.
In addition to the examples of jewelry you will see on this site, Steven works collaboratively with his clients to design meaningful pieces.
Steven Parker Jewelry features the fine jewelry of Steven Parker, most of which are bespoke pieces.

Other Projects
Workshop & Co. features Steven's mostly ready-made jewelry line for a more playful approach to fine jewelry.
Acme Clockworks investigates clockworks as a mechanism for movement. Steven's study of classic automata and his experience in the toy industry taught him the importance of telling a story and the interactive nature of physically involving the observer. His work brings together the elements of mechanics, narrative, and an interactive experience woven throughout. Another element present in some of his work may be apparent in the discoveries of Mr. Parker’s alter ego, Dr. Kent Streaver – a barely perceptible hint of parody.
